With the ongoing conflicts between India - Pakistan, Israel - Hamas controlled Gaza, and the continuing struggles of the US with Iraq and Afghanistan one cannot help but think whether these acts of aggression are necessary. While each nation has its own set of reasons for these wars, invariably the wars end up having devastating and far-reaching consequencies. While it is believed Afghanistan has been pummelled to 100 years behind the rest of the world, the long-lasting conflicts in Kashmir have ravaged the beautiful state and its people. Thankfully democracy has just returned back to Kashmir. I am not trying to be judgemental here, but just wondering why do wars start even though it is a well understood fact that war kills thousands of people and hurts both the sides engaged in the war economically.
Many people subscribe to the "Just war theory" but I am more inclined to the "No war" theory (mind you only inclined, but not convinced). But I am convinced that no matter what, no one has the right to take away a life given by God. But why doesnt this lead me to be convinced about "No war" theory? I really dont know....and I will leave this here.

As I look back
As I look back and see, after 30 years, I suddenly realize that there have been many things which are just really piling up...
i) Work with the lower strata of the society (one encounter today re-kindled this)
ii) Further my education
iii) Read the bible completely (doing this of late)
iv) Get to know about other religions
v) Involve myself with local groups working on local infrastructure
and so on.... When I look back I see that most of this things were not possible because either I was too busy with work or I have been plain lazy. But of late these things have been bugging me a lot, and some of the sermons I have heard today on the church and TV revved me up. I hope to soon start ticking off things one by one from my to-do list. I bet will be the starting point of a new journey in my life, looking at the different side of life and I am sure this experience will enrich me.

Finally my own blog
I have been wanting to create a blog of my own since a long time. But I finally got myself to create my own blog in the year 2009. I could be called a latecomer into this, but will hopefully make the most of my arrival here. I will try to regulary post my thoughts and ideas here (God & time-willing).
